Electrical Signature Analysis is used for detecting the motor condition and power supply conditions in electrical equipment. Electrical Signature Analysis System provides the capability of detecting severe connection problems, air gap faults, rotor faults, bearing failures, electrical and mechanical faults in the motors. Motor Load related problems can also be analysed.

The generator output current through a constant load can be monitored and analyzed using Electrical Signature Analysis. Many features related to generator running speed were detected in the electrical signature analysis, including dominant peaks at multiples of eight times generator speed.
