DC Hipot Testing

DC hipot testing is used for testing various electrical instruments to check the electrical resistance or insulation. We are engaged in performing this DC hypot testing for various electrical equipments like electric motors, transformers, circuit boards, cables etc. DC hipot testing stands for direct current high potential testing and is also known as dielectric withstand test which uses the application of high voltage. We use DC hipot test Equipment for conducting this test.

This DC hipot test is done by applying a direct voltage between the conductors and metallic shielding. The leakage current is detected and monitored with the help of Hipot test Equipment. If break down occurs then the insulation has a fault else equipments can be used under normal operations. The DC hipot test monitors the amount of leakage current for a particular applied voltage.
